Newry City FC unveil Active Communities Coach

Ryan McConville from Armagh will be the Active Communities Coach for the City. He was announced to the supporters before the friendly game against Warrenpoint Town FC.

Ryan has been chosen ahead of a very competitive list of applicants which included submissions from across the province. He has a wealth of experience and is currently working toward his Uefa A Licence. Ryan has held coaching positions within the IFA Excellence programme and has recently savoured success with Armagh Ladies GAA.

The Active Communities’ Council representatives and Newry City FC believe they have appointed a highly conscientious and motivated coach to deliver participation opportunities for Community Groups and Schools. He will support and help grow both the Newry City Special Olympics Squad and the hugely successful girls’ development squad.

His first taste of life at the Club will be to oversee and promote the Newry City Summer Camp held at the Showgrounds 2nd -5th August.

Children aged 5-7 from 10.00am-12.00pm and for ages 8-13 from 1.00pm-3.00pm. Forms can be obtained from the Office or by emailing joanne@newrycityfc.com
