Newry City Under 18's reach Irish Cup semi final...
Newry City FC's Under 18 squad have reached the semi final of the Irish Cup, on the 17th of April they play Ballymena United for a place in the final (to be played on a yet to be confirmed date & venue).
Under 18 coach Paul McEvoy has said about his charges "We all are feeling very positive about the game this coming weekend against Ballymena, the recent run of good results have proven that we have got quility right through the team, and possess a great squad of players, both myself and Barry Traynor, our manager feel we have the players and capability to progress to the final where we will hopefully meet the winners of the other semi final between Crewe & Glentoran"
The Under 18's are in a rich vein of form recently, having won 5 games on the bounce, and on current form, with the greatest respect ot all others remaining n the competition, should feel rightly confident that they can take the trophy back to the club and join the Under 14 girls & boys sides in taking silverwear to the club this season.
As stated the game takes place this coming Saturday the 17th @ The Showgrounds, Ballymena, 2pm KO. All support welcome!!!
