IFA Directive on the JJB Sports Irish Cup outstanding games issue...
Please find below an extract from a directive issued today (02nd April 2010) by the IFA with regards to the JJB Sport Irish Cup and which clarifies how the outstanding games leading up to the final will pan out...
...further contingency plan determined by the Challenge Cup Committee at a meeting this morning following the postponement during the week of the Round 6 replay (Newry City v Loughgall) due to the latest spell of inclement weather. The Round 6 replay will be played this evening and the winning team will play against Coleraine at The Showgrounds, Coleraine on Tuesday 6 April, kick off 7.45 pm. In the event of that match resulting in a draw the Semi Final will be postponed on Saturday 10 April as the Quarter Final Replay will need to be played that day. The Semi Final will then take place on Wednesday 14 April, kick off 7.45 pm, which is the date reserved for the original Semi Final replay. If a Semi Final replay is then required same would be played on Saturday 17 April and that game will be played to a finish.
If we get the game this evening played and a winner from the Quarter Final tie on Tuesday 6 April the original semi final plans will of course be implemented...
